Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
To ensure a private and safe environment for all users on the Xyphen Network, the following rules apply. You are expected to follow these rules regardless of whether you are in a private space or not. If we receive reports of actions breaching these guidelines, your access will be moderated and potentially revoked permanently.
Fileshare Rules
Uploading executable files or scripts (.exe, .msi, .bat, .vbs, etc.) is prohibited.
Do not attempt to spam multiple of the same file, random files, or attempt to exhaust the network by overloading it with data. You will be ratelimited, or permanently have your access revoked.
Do not host or distribute illicit material, including CSAM, extreme violence (gore), or malware.
Fileshare Enforcement
When verified legal takedowns (DMCA Requests) from external companies, or cryptographic proof (file hash) of malware/CSAM are presented, targeted assets will be removed entirely without notice.
Privacy Policy
There is no truly realistic way to guarantee an IP address is entirely invisible. We rely on using your IP address in-memory to serve you content, such as streamed live data (i.e, video files through Xyphen Fileshare, messages through our Matrix homeserver, etc.). We do not save your IP address on-disk; Once you stop connecting, your IP's wiped from memory.
Uploaded assets remain on our system until their scheduled expiry or until dropped via administrative action. We reserve the right to remove any data at any time. Data that has been purged cannot, and will not be recovered.
There are no advertisers, third-party analytics scripts, or data broker links running anywhere on the Xyphen Network. We do not sell data, and never will.
Compliance & Contact
To report rule violations or illicit content, please present all supporting evidence directly to my inbox: @spvce:xyphen.org.
We reserve the right to modify these terms as the platform grows. Continued use of our services constitutes agreement to the current terms.
These terms are conditions of service, not recommendations. If you do not agree with them, please offboard your assets and utilize alternative providers such as unredacted.org or private.coffee.
